The Guard of Honour of the Delegation of Naples and Campania, represented by Luigiantonio Galasso, a volunteer of the Guard and Knights Giuseppe Giunto, Riccardo Spadafora, Salvatore Samo, Giovanni Samo and Luigi Andreozzi, delivered packages of foodstuffs, including peeled tomatoes, Gragnano pasta, beans and legumes, to the Carmelite Sisters’ canteen at the Church Carmine Maggiore in via Vespucci. It is just the beginning of an ongoing collaboration with this charitable organisation. The news was also conveyed to His Excellency the Bishop of Naples. The mission of the Guard of Honour is to combine historical memory with the reality of the present, drawing inspiration from the Bourbon Sovereigns, from Prince Charles to King Francis II.
NAPLES AND CAMPANIA: DECEMBER EVENTS
An important donation of computers, monitors, keyboards, mouses, made by Knight Dr. Paolo Gorga, was held in favour of the Civil Protection of the Municipality of Lustra Cilento.
Fundraising for UNESCO projects of high social value, led by Professor Annamaria Colao, scientist, UNESCO Chair Holder and President of the Italian Society of Endocrinology, which was generously attended by the Delegate for Naples and Campania, Marquise Federica de Gregorio Cattaneo and various Knights, including Knight Giulio Del Vaglio with his wife Paola, Knight Francesco Pio Piccolo, Dr. and Dame Marilù Bartiromo, Dame Dr. Rondinella and many others. Prevention and prevention education are really important.
NAPLES AND CAMPANIA: MEETING AT “CIRCOLO DELL’UNIONE”
The Delegate for Naples and Campania, Marquise Federica De Gregorio Cattaneo, together with many other Constantinian Knights, especially the President of “Circolo dell’Unione” and that of the National Association of Italian Constantinian Knights, Don Giuliano Buccino Grimaldi, attended the conference “Il centrotavola per 60 coperti”. Professor Angela Carola, a famous porcelain expert and representative of Capodimonte Museum, organised the conference and the presentation of the book. She illustrated the history of the magnificent porcelain centrepiece found in the Capodimonte Museum’s storerooms. Professor Carola explained that the exceptional quality of the artefact can be linked to the great personality of Ferdinand IV of Bourbon, who financed and supported the royal school of porcelain and ceramics, ensuring that the business aspect did not exceed its artistic level, as was the case with other European royal manufactures. The Delegation thanked Professor Angela Carola for defending and enhancing once again the figure of Ferdinand IV of Bourbon, who bequeathed so much magnificence to future generations.
DONATION FOR THE VATICAN ELEMOSINERY AND SOME NATIONAL CARITAS
On November 23rd the Constantinian Order carried out a donation for the Vatican in the presence of His Eminence Cardinal Konrad Krajewski.
For this occasion, the Constantinian Order involved some of its national delegations, including Campania, Lombardy, Tuscany and Triveneto, that actively participated in the event through the supply of basic products.
Specifically, the materials that have been donated are:
clothes for men and women
Shoes
Diabetic medical aids (insulin needles, meters and test strips)
700 FPP2 masks
100 cloth masks
1,000 kg of pasta
7 wheelchairs for disabled people
In addition to the Secretary General, Dr. Giampaolo Grazian, the Delegate of Campania Marquise Federica de Gregorio Cattaneo, accompanied by Dr. Paolo Gorga and Dr. Andrea Petrone, the Delegate of Lombardy, Nob. Dr. Giuseppe Rizzani, the Delegate of Tuscany, Count Ranieri Adorni Braccesi, accompanied by the Coordinator of the delegation, Dr. Luciano Giannelli and the Vice Delegate of Triveneto, Dr. Lucio Pasqualetto, as well as Father Luigi Cannizzo, representing the Office of the Grand Prior, attended.
Furthermore, as agreed with His Eminence Cardinal Krajewski, the Constantinian Order is currently donating some 200 beds, that are all in excellent condition, to various national Diocesan Caritas. In particular, the caritas located in Cerreto Sannita, Foligno, Frosinone and Tricarico are receiving these products.
NAPLES AND CAMPANIA : NOVEMBER ACTIVITIES
Salerno, 21 November 2021 – Donation of desks and other school material. Thanks to the generous contribution of Knights Dr. Gaetano Locci, Dr. Raffaele Fattopace and Knight Commander Alfonso Grieco, an important donation of school material was made in favour of the Oratory “San Filippo”. The Delegation of Naples and Campania donated numerous desks and chairs to the Oratory “San Filippo Neri”, which are very useful for educational purposes. The donation took place at the Metropolitan Primatial Cathedral Church St. Mary of the Angels, St. Matthew the Apostle and Evangelist, and Pope Gregory VII, better known as the Cathedral of Salerno, a very important site from an historical point of view. The delivery of the desks and chairs was coordinated by Marquise Federica de Gregorio Cattaneo dei Principi di Sant’Elia, Delegate for Naples and Campania. After that, a Holy Mass was celebrated in the Cathedral by Bishop Michele Pecoraro.
Naples, 20 November 2021 – In Plebiscito Square, in front of the Royal Palace of Naples, the Delegate for Naples and Campania Marquise Federica de Gregorio Cattaneo di Sant’Elia represented the Constantinian Order at the ceremony of the solemn oath of the students of the Nunziatella Military School, the prestigious school founded by the Royal Family of Bourbon Two Sicilies. The highest military officials of the Italian State, the Minister of Defence, the Mayor of the city Prof. Gaetano Manfredi, the President of the Region Hon. Vincenzo De Luca, the Prefect Palomba participated. The Constantinian Order, which has always been close to the Nunziatella military school, congratulated the school’s Commandant, Colonel Lustrino, for the magnificent ceremony.
