The awarding ceremony of the Gold Medal of merit to the 1st Department of Health “Turin” took place at the Angelo Pugnani Barracks in Turin, which has supported the population in difficulty, managing the hospitals of Piacenza and Aosta during the emergency phase of the pandemic.
The Vice Delegate of Piedmont and Valle d’Aosta Nicolò Papurello also awarded Lieutenant Colonel Riccardo Costa the Silver Medal of merit for his activities.

The award ceremony of the Gold Medal of Merit to the Nice Regiment (1st) took place in Bellinzago Novarese. The Regiment operated in Lebanon carrying out activities in favour of the local population, also thanks to the material donated by our Order.
The Vice Delegate of Piedmont and Valle d’Aosta Nicolò Papurello, after having awarded the medal to the Regiment, awarded Colonel Scimone the Silver Medal of Merit.

On May 12nd, the representative of the city of Alessandria, Dame Simona Delfino, accompanied by the Vice Prior, Father Augusto Piccoli and some members of the Order, went to the Don Orione “Sacred Heart” Opera Institute in Tortona to make a donation of items intended for Ukrainian school children.
This donation was made at the request of the head of the structure, Father Renzo Vanoi, thanks to the generosity of Mr. Lazzaro, Mr. Sansone, Mrs. Matilde Zacchia and Mrs. Cristina Carta.

The “Spring Festival” organized by the Delegation of Piedmont and Valle d’Aosta took place at the Wist club in Turin.
During the evening, the Vice Delegate Nicolò Papurello illustrated the activities carried out by our Order to the public of businessmen and professionals who attended. The Spring Festival will be held annually.

Many charitable activities continue in favour of the religious structures of the Diocese of Tortona (AL). The representative of the city of Alessandria, Mrs. Simona Delfino and the Vice Prior, Father Augusto Piccoli have made a donation of food in favour of the guests hosted by “Mater Dei” structure in Tortona (AL).The food, kindly offered by the Knights and Dames of the delegation and by the StandBy Me association of Acqui Terme, will be delivered to the Ukrainian refugees housed for more than a month at the structure. In the coming weeks, in the presence of the Vice Delegate of Piedmont and Valle d’Aosta Nicolò Papurello, more donations of essential items will be made in favour of the Ukrainian refugees of the territory.

On April 22nd, the representation of Alessandria celebrated the feast of Saint George.
During the ceremony, held by the Vice Prior Augusto Piccoli in the city’s Cathedral, some recently deceased Knights were remembered, including Count Gustavo Figarolo di Gropello, former Delegate of Piedmont and Valle d’Aosta, and Mr. Pasquale Muto.
The representative of the city, Mrs. Simona Delfino, after reading the prayer of the Knight, thanked the many present and illustrated the numerous initiatives carried out by the representation and by the delegation of Piedmont and Valle d’Aosta in this last period.
A dinner was then held in the presence of numerous Dames and Knights.

On Saturday, January 29th, the representation of Alessandria, guided by Mrs. Simona Delfino, organized a mass for H.M. Maria Cristina, Queen of the Two Sicilies, at the parish church of Sezzadio (AL).
The celebration was presided over by the Vice Prior, Father Augusto Piccoli.

On January 19th, the representation of Alessandria, headed by Mrs. Simona Delfino and accompanied by the Vice Prior Father Augusto Piccoli, carried out a donation of handmade Italian “panettone” for the needy people at the Parish S. Perpetuo in Solero (AL).
The donation was possible thanks to StandByMe association and “Ledda” store that offered these typical Italian cakes.
The parish priest Father Mario Bianchi congratulated the Order and its members for the many activities carried out in recent years in the city of Alessandria.

On February 22nd, the representation of Alessandria, led by Mrs. Simona Delfino, attended the celebration of the solemn Mass at the church “Santa Maria Canale” in Tortona.
The celebration was attended by Noble De Lama, Mr. Lazzaro, Mr. Sansone and Doctor Corte, as well as representatives of other orders of chivalry operating in the Diocese of Tortona.
