Rome, 9 May 2015. The vicarious delegation of Rome of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George – as part of the project, “The Hunger of Our Neighbour”, which is strongly supported by the Grand Master of the SMCOSG, H.R.H. Prince Charles of Bourbon-Two Sicilies, Duke of Castro, as well as part of the continual food and health aid for those in need of the Parish of San Giuseppe al Trionfale – has organised a collection of basic necessities, including medicines and clothing, to help the earthquake victims in Nepal.
Rome’s vicarious Delegate of the Constantinian Order, Marquis Giorgio Mirti della Valle, gave the Chancellor of the Delegation, the nobleman Doctor Fabrizio Ratto-Vaquer, the responsibility of getting in touch with the Italian Red Cross who are organising the shipping of basic necessities to the earthquake victims in Nepal.
Consequently, he gave mandate to his peers, Knight Doctor Vincenzo Gaglione and Lady Doctor Antonietta Capparella for the coordination and identification of donations to help Nepal. They were already responsible for the coordination and distribution of provisions to the parish of San Giuseppe al Trionfale where, on 23rd April, for the solemnity of the patron saint, George, the Grand Prior of the Order, the Most Eminent Cardinal Renato Raffaele Martino celebrated the Holy Mass, followed by the distribution of food packages and clothing to help those in need in the parish.
After collecting a sufficient quantity of goods to send to the earthquake victims in Nepal, the vicarious delegation of Rome of the SMCOSG will come to an agreement with the Italian Red Cross to decide on a date for the delivery of the donations.
