The Delegation paid a courtesy call to Mrs. Ulpiana Lama, Minister Counselor and Chargée d’Affaires of the Republic of Kosovo to the Kingdom of Thailand. The sociologist, who has a deep knowledge of Italian and French cultures and languages, guides the Embassy which is not only the first ever of Kosovo in Thailand (established one and a half year ago), but also in South East Asia, and plays a regional role with side accreditations to Brunei, Malaysia, Maldives and Singapore.
Kosovo is the second youngest country in the world, declaring its independence from Serbia on February 18th, 2008, and ruled by the International Court of Justice as a sovereign nation in 2010.
Mrs. Ulpiana Lama, eager to know more about the values embraced by the Dynastic Orders of the Royal House of Bourbon Two Sicilies and the personalities who have received Their decorations all over the world, appreciated the work in joining the community efforts in coping with the economic, social and mental health effects of the pandemic.
The Acting Ambassador stressed the increasing importance of the ethical decision-making in world affairs and expressed Her congratulations for the inclusion of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George in the “United Nations -Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific” stakeholders directory in an observer capacity.
