Alessandria, 16 November 2015. As part of the project ‘The Hunger of Our Neighbour’, Member Representatives of the Constantinian Order for the cities of Alessandria and Asti have donated 973 kg of food supplies to the local branches of the Diocesan Caritas. The distribution event took place thanks to the contribution of the association ‘S.I.E.’ (Solidarietà Internazionale ed Emergenza) from Alessandria and involved several different charitable institutions across the region. More specifically, the supplies were thus distributed: 70 kg were handed over to Mons. Toriggia, parish priest of the Cathedral of Alessandria, 3 kg to Don Bersano, parish priest of Santa Maria di Castello in Alessandria, 250 kg to Sister Adalberta from the ‘Bottega della Solidarietà’, 180 kg to the ‘Gruppo di Volontariato Vincenziano’ based in Alessandria, and 400 kg to the same institution over in Valenza, and lastly, 70 kg to the ‘Movimento per la Vita’ in Alessandria. This key initiative was the result of a collaboration between Member Representatives of the Order and the President of S.I.E., Ms Francesca Bravi. During the press conference, Ms Bravi offered special thanks, on behalf of all the volunteers and associations involved, for the level of commitment and generosity demonstrated by our Order.
