HRH Prince Charles of Bourbon Two Sicilies had both institutional and charitable meetings during his stay in Palermo.
After meeting Sicily’s President, On.Sebastiano Musumeci, HRH Prince Charles of Bourbon Two Sicilies, Duke of Castro, Head of the Royal House of Bourbon and Grand Master of the Constantinian Order, launched Briciole di Salute project, which helps and supports Missione Speranza e Carità by Father Biagio Conte, whose goal is to react against poverty in Palermo.
An important service for the most fragile citizens has been introduced thanks to this initiative and to the volunteers and Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George’s effort, providing economic and material support, products for children, food and logistic support as well.
HRH Duke of Castro was very touched and affirmed: “I am very happy to meet all these people who daily make lots of efforts to help the others who are in desperate conditions. Being able to help them providing a great support is not enough, we should show solidarity and much more. Father Biagio Conte is creating a place where people can be warmly welcomed, located in an area which hosts lots of migrants and needy people”.
A joyful moment wa shared with the Sisters of Charity and with the families who are daily helped by the project “Briciole di Salute”.
The inauguration of “Largo Cavalieri costantiniani” with Borbonic Arms dated 1771 and restaurered at Duomo in Monreale was a very touching moment. The medal with the Real Order of Saint Janarius, donated by the Tuscan delegation, was inserted. Then the investiture ceremony took place in the presence of His Eminence Msgr. Michele Pennisi. Lots of local authorities and the Eparch Giorgio Demetrio Gallaro were present.
On Sunday 8th, HRH the Duke of Castro with HRH Princess Beatrice, Grand Prefect of the Constantinian Order, visited the Botanical Garden. HRH Princess Camilla of Bourbon Two Sicilies, Duchess of Castro, donated an important artwork, a Golden Cactus by Orenzo Galery.
The last stage of this long trip will be Rome, where a lot of charity events, which are part of “Briciole di Salute”, have been scheduled.
