Savignano Irpino, 26 July – As every year, the Mayor of Savignano, our Knight, invited the delegation of Naples and Campania to lead the procession in honor of the Patron Saint, Saint Anna.
The Knight Dr. Luigi de Angelis brought the greetings of the Delegate Federica de Gregorio Cattaneo. The Bishop, H.E. Mons. Sergio Melillo, as well as the Knights Esq. Pierluigi La Manna, Prof. Raffaele Menzione, Arch. Antonello Amaddeo, Dr. Luigi De Angelis and the Mayor Dr. Fabio Della Marra were present.
On the occasion of the 900th anniversary of the Abbey of Montevergine, H.R.H. the Duke of Castro granted the appointment as Knight Grand Officer of Ecclesiastical Grace motu proprio to Abbot H.E. Riccardo Luca Guariglia. The Delegate Donna Federica de Gregorio Cattaneo participated to the solemn celebrations in honor of Our Lady of Montevergine and gave the diploma to H.E. Abbot Guariglia.
Cardinal Parolin, Vatican Secretary of State, who concelebrated with many Bishops, the Minister of the Interior and Constantinian Knight Prefect Piantedosi, the Minister of Culture Dr. Gennaro Sangiuliano, the Bishop of Pompeii Monsignor Caputo and many other representatives of the institutions were guests of honor at the prestigious and solemn ceremony.
