At the beginning of confinement due to the coronavirus, in March, a dramatic social emergency situation arose in the canteens of Naples which usually help those in need. Volunteers help up to 500 people per day at the canteen of the Neapolitan church “del Carmine” in Naples. For this reason, the Fathers of the Church launched an appeal to the city. Consequently, in agreement with the Grand Magisterium, the delegation of Naples and Campania allocated a fund of one thousand euros, making a transfer to the “Padre Alleva Onlus” account which manages the canteen, to allow a first purchase of food, in order to alleviate the suffering of those in need.
