On its way to visit the historical palaces Maruekhathaiyawan (summer seaside residence built by King Rama VI) and Klai Kang Won (beachfront complex where King Rama IX used to reside permanently in His last years), the Delegation has dropped by the nearby Mövenpick Asara Resort to support the hotels chain’s “Kilo of Kindness” charitable campaign, in recognition of the UN International Day of Charity. The participating hotels all over the world have invited guests, partners and visitors to share their kindness by donating at least one kilo of non-perishable food, clothing or educational supplies to the less fortunate and those in need. All items will be distributed locally to disadvantaged communities by the charities each hotel has partnered with under this initiative. The resort’s management team has organized a cheerful reception of the products offered by the Delegation, such as Italian pasta and sauce, masks and personal hygiene kits.
