On February 16th, the commemoration ceremony for the children who died during the siege of Gaeta was held on the fortress opposite the port. For each of these children, a white flower was placed at the foot of the flag of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies, hoisted in the wind, in memory of the sacrifice of many innocent children. Many citizens of Gaeta participated in the ceremony with the cultural advisor representing the mayor, who celebrated the arrival of Princess Beatrice of Bourbon Two Sicilies, accompanied by the delegate of Naples Marquise Federica de Gregorio Cattaneo. A multitude of Constantinian Knights, many representatives of the neo-bourbon movement, the association Il Giglio and the foundation Francis II attended as well.
