Vatican City, 28 September 2021 – This morning, His Eminence the Most Reverend Cardinal Renato Raffaele Martino, Protodeacon of H.R.C. and Grand Prior, received His Beatitude Raphaël Bedros XXI Minassian, elected Patriarch of the Armenians. His Beatitude was nominated Knight Grand Cross of Ecclesiastical Grace by His Eminence Cardinal Martino in 2013. The Patriarch was accompanied by Mgr. Nareg lwis Naamo, Rector of the Pontifical Armenian College. Monsignor Arnaldo Morandi, Secretary General of the Office of the Grand Prior, attended the meeting. Thanks to the esteem and personal friendship between the Grand Prior and the new Patriarch, there was a very warm atmosphere. His Eminence, also on behalf of H.R.H. Prince Charles of Bourbon Two Sicilies, Duke of Castro, warmly congratulated and presented His Beatitude with the Crest of the Constantinian Order. At the end of the audience, those present signed the register of honour in memory of the precious event.
