ROME AND LAZIO: CONCERT FOR THE HOLY CHRISTMAS 2022

Rome – On Wednesday 20th of December 2022, the Christmas Concert performed by the Choir of the Diocese of Rome took place at Ferrajoli Palace, followed by a lunch in the Hall of Lilies, in the presence of H.R.H. Prince Charles of Bourbon Two Sicilies, Duke of Castro and Grand Master.

The initiative, organized by the delegation of Rome and Lazio, was an opportunity to meet many confreres in a festive and convivial atmosphere in view of the Christmas holidays. The evening also served to raise funds for charitable activities supported by the delegation and, in particular, for the Family Homes of the Circle S. Pietro that welcome the families of the children assisted by the Children’s Hospital Bambino Gesù.

The lunch was preceded by a concert and a welcome cocktail in the halls of the Palace, and at the entrance the participants were welcomed by the Delegate, Marquis Giuseppe Ferrajoli di Filacciano and by the Vice Delegate, Esq. Gualtiero Ventura.

Many illustrious personalities attended the event, we can mention the Grand Chancellor Don Francesco, Prince Ruspoli, Princess Angelica Ruspoli, Dr. Giampaolo Grazian, Secretary General, Don Paolo Costantino dei Principi Borghese, Prince Guglielmo Giovanelli Marconi, Donna Edoarda Crociani, Count Roberto Giustiniani, Countess Milena Von Rex and Count Riccardo Langosco di Langosco.

Brussels, Saturday 10 December 2022 – The investiture ceremony of the new Constantinian Knights took place at the Church of St Jacques-sur-Coudenberg under the presidency of His Royal Highness Prince Charles of Bourbon Two Sicilies, Duke of Castro, Grand Master, in companionship of Dr. Giampaolo Grazian, Secretary General.

In the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Laurent of Belgium, Bailiff Grand Cross of the Order, the rite of the Pontifical Holy Mass was celebrated.
The Celebrant was the Most Rev. Father Frédéric Testaert, O. Praem., Abbot of Postel and concelebrants were Monsignor Hrvoje Škrlec, chargé d’affaires of the Apostolic Nunciature to the European Union, Monsignor Eric Soviguidi, Permanent Observer of the Holy See to UNESCO and the Reverend Robrecht Boone, Representative of the Holy See of the International Committee of Military Medicine.
His Serene Highness Prince Charles-Louis d’Arenberg, Delegate of Belgium, Knight Grand Cross of Justice, assisted by Consul-General Gunnar Riebs, Vice-Delegate of Belgium, Knight Grand Cross of Merit, welcomed all the distinguished guests; among them the families of the deceased Knights during the last year.
H.R.H. the Grand Master proceeded to the delivery of the decorations: Vice-admiral Dario Giacomin, Knight grand officer of Merit; Baron Henry d’Anethan, Knight of Justice; Prof. Dr. Werner-Édouard de Saeger van Nattenhaesdonck, Knight Officer of Merit and Knight of Merit to Prof. Dr. Kim Christiaens and Dr. Jean-Baptiste Belge. H.R.H. the Duke of Castro also promoted to the rank of Knight Grand cross of Merit Prof. Dr. Hugo Vandenberghe , honorary vice-president of the Belgian Senate.

After the religious ceremony, all the Knights and other guests took part in a formal diner in the Brussels ‘Cercle Royal du Parc.’

Bangkok, 9 December 2022 – The Vice Delegate has been invited by Mr. Ariya Banomyong, new President of Alliance Française Bangkok,
to the special celebration of the 110th Anniversary of Alliance Française Bangkok, an elegant evening including a vernissage, a musical and visual performance and a cocktail. Opening remarks were delivered by H.E. Mr. Thierry Mathou, Ambassador of France to Thailand, and Mr. Ariya Banomyong.
The very selected audience enjoyed the premiere of “Musical & visual journey through 110 years of Franco-Thai history” by artists Mr. Jonas Dept and Mr. Jean-David Caillouët.

Special Senior Guests were AF Bangkok’s Honorary Presidents, Dr. Jingjai Hanchanlash, and Dr. Sribhumi Sukhanetr, respectively Presidents in charge for 20 and 25 years, and Madam Director of the Institute bearing the name of Princess Galyani Wadhana who was also a Teacher of French language.

The Ambassador of Romania attended as well as francophone Diplomats from the Embassies of the European Union, Switzerland and Representatives of several Organizations.

Nella storica chiesa di San Giorgio al Palazzo di Milano, il 6 dicembre il Nob. Dott. Giuseppe dei conti Rizzani, Delegato della Lombardia e Mons. Arnaldo Morandi, Priore della Delegazione, hanno convocato Cavalieri e Dame per la tradizionale celebrazione e incontro prenatalizio. La Santa Messa è stata presieduta da Mons. Morandi che, nell’apprezzata omelia, ha citato i fondamenti ontologici e metafisici della dignità umana richiamando tutti i membri dell’Ordine ad un impegno vero e personale per la difesa della vita umana laddove oggi si presenti più fragile e indifesa.
La liturgia sobria e solenne è stata condecorata dal coro dei Cantori di San Cipriano (medaglia d’argento Costantiniana), diretta dal Maestro Cav. Alessio Lucchini. Per l’occasione è stata eseguita la Missa Brevis Militaris Constantiniana opera 30, composta dal Maestro Lucchini ed offerta all’Ordine. Molto apprezzata l’esecuzione sia del coro che dei due solisti.
Al rito hanno presenziato S.A.I.R. l’Arciduca Martino d’Asburgo Este, membro della Reale Deputazione, il Nob. Senatore Gabriele Albertini, Rappresentante della città metropolitana di Milano, il Cav. Maurizio Mirandola, Rappresentante di Mantova, il Comm. Ing. Giuseppe Perego, Rappresentante di Monza-Sondrio, i Consiglieri di Delegazione il Nob. Cav. Avv. Diego Zoia, il Nob. Comm. Andrea Rivoira, il Nob. Cav. Giovanni Ballarino e la Dama Avv. Maria Clara Bollini. Erano presenti il Gen. Mario Terrasi, vice delegato SMOM della Lombardia, il Dott. Federico Pizzi, membro della Giunta degli Ordini Dinastici della Real Casa di Savoia, la Dama di Commenda Sorella Dott. Emilia Scarcella, Ispettrice Nazionale del Corpo delle Infermiere Volontarie della CRI.
Dopo la celebrazione la serata è fraternamente proseguita con un ricevimento alla Società del Giardino, con la partecipazione del Presidente del Circolo Cav. Ing. Lorenzo Fiori, del Mons. Comm. Gianni Zappa, Decano del Centro Storico di Milano, Don Luca Camisasca, Parroco delle Basiliche Costantiniane di San Giorgio al Palazzo, San Lorenzo alle Colonne e Sant’Eustorgio, Don Maurizio Ceriani, Rappresentante di Pavia-Lodi-Cremona.
Dopo la Santa Messa il Delegato, il Priore e l’Arciduca Martino d’Austria Este hanno consegnato alle varie autorità presenti la medaglia commemorativa dell’Editto di Milano e la medaglia commemorativa per il centenario del pio transito del Beato imperatore Carlo d’Austria.
