On May 11 the Delegate for Naples and Campania organized an enjoyable and entertaining day for children from four classes of the Russo-Montale Elementary School in the Sanità district of Naples, where the majority of the children come from poor and troubled families.
The initiative was undertaken in response to a request made by the Sisters of Mercy of Arco Mirelli, several teachers of the school and the principal Elisabetta Esposito.
The purpose of the event was to reward all the deserving children who achieved good grades in school in a neighborhood that tends not to encourage the importance of education.
The Delegate, aided by Marquis Leopoldo de Gregorio Cattaneo and by Giovanni and Hannelise de Lutio di Castelguidone decided to reward 70 children by taking them to see a movie, offering them popcorn, followed by a visit to Macdonald’s, ice cream and finally a visit to a playground so that the children could enjoy a carefree afternoon.
The day was a great success for both children and teachers as they expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Constantinian Order for this wonderful and commendable initiative.
