CALABRIA: MOST RECENT DELEGATION ACTIVITIES

On 5 December, the Calabria Delegation and the Polistena Brutium Lions Club donated food and basic necessities to the “la buona volontà” community of Cittanova (RC). The purpose of the donation was to create a Christmas-themed inclusive-solidarity lunch to offer a carefree evening to those less fortunate. In fact, the community “la buona volontà” has been chosen as it helps people who are serving an alternative sentence to prison, making them embark on a path of recovery and reintegration into civil society.

The Constantinian Order has decided to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of Mgr. Limina during the Eucharistic celebration last Sunday, November 26, at the parish of the Blessed Virgin of the Rosary of Pompeii, where the dean of the Crotone clergy – former president of the Cathedral Chapter of the Diocese of Crotone-Santa Severina – continues in his mission of Charity. Charity that was at the heart of the recent initiative that, during his homily, he intended to recall referring to the recent donation made by the Order to the Table of the Poor “Padre Pio”, founded by Monsignor Limina himself in 1997, that every day provides a hot meal to about one hundred thirty people in difficulty. Nicola Oliverio, Knight of Grace, Knights of Merit Alessandro Cuomo and Vito Michele De Caro were present at the liturgical service, the latter one of the volunteers who animate the Table of the poor, and the representative for the city of Crotone, Antonio Oliverio, Knight of Grace. At the end of the religious service, the participants and Monsignor Ezio Limina have planned future initiatives to promote synergy between the work of the charitable structure and the activities of the Constantinian Order.
