FUNDRAISER COVID-19 EMERGENCY

FUNDRAISER COVID-19 EMERGENCY

Dear Knights and Dames,

we have to personally commit to support Italy during this hard moment for all of us and to especially help hospitals and those working on the front lines in the daily fight against this health emergency.

Several fundraisers have already been launched to support Italy’s most affected hospitals, but I am concerned about establishments where the spread of this epidemic and a lack of intensive care equipment might have even more dramatic consequences.

Our Order, which has always been engaged to help hospitals, through the Constantinian Order Charity Onlus launched a fundraising initiative whose donations will be distributed equally among those healthcare structures with fewer resources which need to increase their equipment and intensive care capacity.

Each euro that you will donate will represent a glimmer of hope and a small drop of life that will help us overcome this adversity!

We do not want to set goals, let’s try to raise as much as we can. The first 50.000 euros have already been allocated.

Solidarity is an immense force. Let us join all together to help each other!

I sincerely thank you for your generosity and for the dissemination and sharing of this collection.

Charles of Bourbon Two Sicilies

FRANCE: DONATIONS FOR THE FIGHT AGAINST COVID-19

The French Delegation wanted to give its contribution in the fight against the pandemic by making a donation on the open platform: https://constantinianorder.charity.

In addition to this and given the lack of protective equipment in France, the Delegation also made a donation in favour of the Little Sisters of Consolation, the Sacred Heart and the Holy Face (Monastery of the Consolation in Draguignan, in the diocese of Fréjus-Toulon). Indeed, these nuns need health protection masks.

On March 25th, a donation of food and medical aids was carried out in Monreale, in accordance with H.E. Msgr. Michele Pennisi’s will. Many masks, hand sanitizers, packages of milk, diapers, homogenized, pasta and several products for infant hygiene have been delivered. The Sicilian delegation warmly thanks the mayor of Monreale, Alberto Arcidiacono, and the commander of the municipal police of Monreale, Luigi Marulli, for the assistance they had provided in carrying out the distribution, while ensuring full compliance with government regulations in force.

On March 27th, the vice delegate, after having received instructions from the Archbishop of Monreale, gave various masks and hand sanitizers to Caritas operators in Monreale and to the assistants of the retirement home Opera Pia Benedetto Balsamo.

SICILY: SEVERAL DONATIONS AT THE MISSION “SPERANZA E CARITA'”, AT THE BASILICA “LA MAGIONE” AND AT SAINT FRANCIS OF PAOLA

After accepting the lay brother Biagio Conte’s requests because of the decrease in food donations for the Mission “Speranza e Carità”, on March 23rd the Sicilian delegation delivered around 500 kg of pasta, homogenized and diapers for children.

On March 4th, some bottles of hand sanitizer, which are highly requested in this period, were delivered to Archbishop Salvatore Grimaldi, parish priest of the Basilica La Magione in Palermo.

A distribution of around three hundred hand sanitizers also took place at the parish S. Francis of Paola in Palermo. The products were offered to Father Giorgio Terrasi.
