TUSCANY: THE PROJECT “CITTA’ CARDIOPROTETTE” IN PRATO

Prato, October 12th, 2019 – the Tuscan delegation, headed by the Vice Delegate, the Vice Prior and the representative of the Province of Prato, delivered to the Provincial Commander of the Police, Colonel Marco Grandini, a new automatic defibrillator, which will be used at the Carabinieri station in Jolo for the benefit of the entire community. The donation was made in collaboration with the non-profit organization “Regalami un sorriso”, administered by Piero Giacomelli.

LIGURIA: VISIT TO THE SHIP “AMMIRAGLIO MAGNAGHI”

The Ligurian delegation was invited to visit the white hydroceographic ship “Ammiraglio Magnaghi”. The Delegate Giovanni Chersola and Dr. Luca Cibin were received by the Commander, Captain Roberto Rossini and Lieutenant Marco Danieletto: the latter illustrated the important underwater exploration campaigns carried out by the ship for the safety of sailors and for the surveillance of our seas. He also focused on the importance of the respect for the marine and terrestrial environment and on some cultural initiatives developed by the Delegation, thanks to the collaboration with the Alla Collina Verde Environmental Association in the Mediterranean. An interesting dialogue has been launched, which could be the precursor of new initiatives in favor of young people and their training.

Travagliato, October 3rd, 2019 – On October 3rd, Mr. Paolo Tarallo, with Pietro Santacroce, Maurizio Caserta and Giuseppe Scolaro, through Mons. Arnaldo Morandi, Prior of Lombardy, provided a large amount of food to the Caritas of Travagliato. The food has been entrusted to the pastor Mario Metelli in order to meet the needs of several families assisted by the Caritas.

Rome, October 8th, 2019 – On October 8th the presentation of the second edition of the volume “The Orders of Chivalry of the Royal House of Bourbon Two Sicilies” by H.E. Ambassador Antonio Benedetto Spada took place at the Chamber of Deputies, in the presence of H.R.H. Prince Charles of Bourbon Two Sicilies, Duke of Castro and Grand Master, and of H.E. Cardinal Renato Raffaele Martino, Proto-deacon of the Holy Roman Church and Grand Prior. Among the speakers who attended the event, we mention H.E. The President of the State Council Filippo Patroni Griffi, H.E. Ambassador Umberto Vattani, Professor Michele Giuseppe Vietti and Dr. Mario Sechi.

After the presentation of the volume, a vin d’honneur was held at the Sala della Sacrestia. The Grand Chancellor and the Grand Treasurer of the Order, the members of the Magistral Judicial Council and the Heraldic Magistral Commission, the Delegates, the Vice Delegates, as well as several personalities from the diplomatic, military and civil world attended.

NAPLES AND CAMPANIA: HRH THE GRAND PREFECT IN PIETRARSA

On October 5th, commemorations were held at the National Museum of Pietrarsa, in memory of the 180th anniversary of the inauguration of the peninsula’s first railway, which was made by Ferdinand II of Bourbon.

HRH Princess Beatrice of Bourbon Two Sicilies, Grand Prefect of the Constantinian Order, visited the Pietrarsa Museum and was accompanied by Marquise Federica De Gregorio Cattaneo, the General Director of the Fondazione Ferrovie dello Stato, Ing. Luigi Francesco Cantamessa Armati, the museum’s director, Oreste Orvitti, the president of the ENEA research center in Portici, Dr. Aldo Parisi, the head of the philatelic sector of the Italian post office, Dr. Maria Grazia Paris, who have made a special obliteration for the occasion, and by some Knights of the Order.

During the visit to the various pavilions of the Museum, the caretakers recalled the history of the place and described future projects for the historical and cultural improvement of the site, which has reached an international importance.
