EMILIA-ROMAGNA: SEPTEMBER 2024 ACTIVITIES

Ferrara, Tuesday, 10 September 2024. As the Delegation’s charitable activities resumed after the summer break, volunteer Walter Chessa and Knight Davide Zamboni, in coordination with the Representative Knight of Ecclesiastical Grace Father Davide Benini, delivered an electro-medical device to the Ferrara Diocesan Caritas medical clinic. In particular, thanks to the availability offered by the manufacturer and supplier company Project Blue Generation of Cento (FE) and benefactors Bosi Michele and Taddia Patrizia, a physiotherapy laser instrument, selected by the Caritas doctors themselves from those made available by the company, was handed over to the doctors. The handover was attended by Dr. Belmonte Marika, Caritas Social Worker, and Health Director Dr. Giancarlo Rasconi, as well as Mr. Bosi Michele, owner of the manufacturing company, who explained how the machine works. The delegation would like to thank all the people who, in various ways, worked for the success of the activity, including the Director of Caritas Diocesan, Paolo Falaguasta.

On Thursday, 26 September, at the Royal Oratory of San Dalmazio in Piacenza, the Knights and Dames of the Delegation of Emilia Romagna-Piacenza participated in the solemn religious service celebrated to commemorate the Constantinian feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. At the end of the Eucharistic ceremony, an Investiture Ceremony took place. The Prior Vicar Knight Father Stefano Antonelli read the message of the Grand Prior of the Order, H.E. the Most Reverend Cardinal Marcello Semeraro, offering insights for spiritual reflection. The Delegate for Emilia Romagna, Knight of Justice Count Gian Luca Mattioli Belmonte Cima, accompanied by the Vice Delegate Official Knight Pietro Coppelli, thanked the large group of Constantinian Knights of Piacenza for their constant and assiduous attention to the people in difficulty. A thought that was also echoed by the director of the Diocesan Caritas of Piacenza and Bobbio, Deacon Mario Idda, who in his speech emphasised the closeness of the Constantinian Order, recalling the many initiatives undertaken together. There was also the familiar hospitality of the Brothers of the Holy Spirit, custodians of the Oratory of San Dalmazio, who provided a guided visit to the very ancient crypt, a hypogeum of Romanesque art, one of the oldest and most evocative in the city.
