Naples, 13th November 2015.  The presentation of the book “The Voyager. Achille Lauro, a lifetime at sea.” by Achille Lauro took place at the Institute of Southern Culture in Naples.  After an introduction made by the Chairman of the Institute, Gennaro Famiglietti,  and following a welcome speech delivered by the Constantinian Delegate for Campania, Marquis Don Pierluigi Sanfelice di Bagnoli, the two dignitaries took it in turns to narrate the life of Achille Lauro Giuseppe Del Barone, Umberto Ranieri and Riccardo Villari.  A long life that of Lauro’s, spent in many capacities: as a ship owner with the second largest fleet in Italy; as a politician as Mayor of Naples and as a sportsman in his capacity as president of the local football club.

Naples, 12th November 2015.  At 10.30 a.m. at the Headquarters of the Naples Harbour Master’s Office, the Delegate for Campania, Marquis Don Pierluigi Sanfelice di Bagnoli, met Rear Admiral Arturo Faraone, Maritime Director of Campania and Chief of the Maritime Region, Harbour Master of the Port of Naples, and also a Constantinian confrère.  Marquis Sanfelice mentioned the many activities that the Campania Delegation carries out for the benefit of the needy and also talked about the humanitarian missions conducted overseas by the Delegation and the National Rescue Body of the Order, without forgetting to mention also the numerous cultural activities organized and attended by the Order.

Naples, 10th November 2015. An agreement has been signed with the Association “Notre Napule ‘a Visionaire” for the implementation of joint cultural and social projects.  The objective is to create a partnership aimed at promoting cultural events between Naples and Provence relating to the Angevin period: infact, so much of that period can be found in Naples, as for example the bust of Saint Gennaro made by two Provençal  goldsmiths.  And also in Provence, Neapolitan customs survive and prosper, both in music and the culinary arts, or in the similarities between the Neapolitan and Provençal dialects.

Benevento, 3rd November 2015.  At 11.30 a.m., the Delegate for Campania, Marquis Don Pierluigi Sanfelice di Bagnoli, upon invitation from  Confrère Massimo Contini, paid a visit to the Olympic Fencing Academy of Benevento which has unfortunately been rendered unusable by the flood of 15th October that severely hit Benevento and some areas of the province.  During the visit, Marquis Sanfelice congratulated Olympic gold medallist Dino Meglio for his great athletic skills at international level and expressed the hope to see the establishment of a structure that would actively help the resumption of sports activities at the same Academy.  Pierluigi Sanfelice extended his stay in Benevento to visit Palazzo Mosti, the Town Hall of Benevento, where he met Honourable Giovanni Zarro representing the Mayor.

CLOTHING DISTRIBUTION TO THE INSTITUTE “MATER ORPHANORUM”

Campobasso, August 7, 2015. The Knight of Merit Giuseppe  D’Amico, on behalf of the Delegate of Campania Pierluigi Sanfelice, offered  to the Oblate Sisters of the Institute “Mater Orphanorum” of Cercemaggiore, in the province of Campobasso, 400 T-shirts and shorts, 10 balloons, 60 items of clothing for men and women, as well as accessories of various colours. They were also present  Michele and Dafne D’Amico, Sister Silvia,  Mother Superior, who  thanked, along with Sister Marisa, the Order for the laudable initiative aimed to  answer to the constant needs of the Institute  “Mater Orphanorum” in Guatemala and Africa.
