On June 29th, on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the death of Father Francesco Mottola, the Calabrian delegation took part in the solemn celebration at the concathedral of the Most Holy Mary of Romania in Tropea. The day began with a moment of prayer in front of the tomb, where the Vice Delegate handed over the insignia of the Order to Archbishop Filippo Ramondino, as well as the letter of appointment as Ecclesiastical Knight of Grace and Chaplain of the city of Vibo Valentia. Subsequently, the delegation participated in a mass.
PIEDMONT AND VALLE D’AOSTA: LITURGY AND MEETING
On June 29th the representative for the cities of Alessandria and Asti organized a liturgical and friendly moment at the parish church of Santa Maria Assunta of Fabbrica Curone (AL). Many Knights and military authorities attended the solemn celebration. Mrs. Simona Delfino read the Knight’s prayer and invited everyone to a friendly meeting in a typical restaurant of the area.
On Monday, July 1st, the vice delegate, Mr. Mario R. Baschirotto, gathered all the representatives of the delegation of Piedmont and Valle d’Aosta to inform them of the future objectives as well as the planning of the next investiture of new Knights and Dames. They also had a friendly dinner together.
TUSCANY: THE PROJECT “ALBAROSA” IN LUCCA
Lucca, July 2n 2019 – Two dames of the Tuscan delegation, Mrs. Rosalba Valentini and Mrs. Ornella Gaspari, handed Mrs. Selvaggia Fiume, head of the family houses of the Luna Onlus Association, food which will be delivered to women and children victims of violence residing in protected structures. The donation is part of the project “Albarosa”.
NAPOLI E CAMPANIA: AMBULATORIO COSTANTINIANO
Dopo numerose difficoltà, l’Ambulatorio Costantiniano, ambulatorio medico gratuito per persone indigenti, attivo a Napoli sin dal 2013 in seno alla Delegazione di Napoli e Campania, è riuscito ad offrire una sistemazione in una casa di cura ad un uomo senza fissa dimora. Inoltre, grazie all’Ambulatorio Costantiniano, al Cappellano dell’ospedale Loreto Mare e ad altri Volontari Medici, è stato possibile legalizzare la posizione del senza tetto in questione che da anni era sprovvisto di carta d’identità e di tessera sanitaria.
Tuscany: the gold medal of merit conferred to the ship “Amerigo Vespucci”
Livorno, June 29th, 2019 – A group of knights of the Tuscan delegation, led by the Vice Delegate, conferred the gold medal of merit to the ship “Amerigo Vespucci”. On this occasion, the silver medal of merit was awarded to the ship’s commanding officer, Captain Stefano Costantino.
