LOMBARDY: ACTIVITIES OF THE DELEGATION

As promised last year by the Vice Delegate, Mr. Giuseppe Rizzani to the Bishop of Piacenza, Msgr. Gianni Ambrosio, the restoration of the painting of St. George was offered to the Bishop. At the ceremony there were civil and religious authorities and a delegation of Knights of the Order.

The Vice Delegate met tOn. Gabriele Albertini in Milan at the Società del Giardino, giving him the letter of designation as representative of the city of Milan.

Concesio (BS) September, 5th 2018 – Mr. Francesco Spada and Mr. Daniele Gavezzoli, in the presence of Msgr. Fabio Peli, delivered numerous foodstuffs and some garments for eighty families who are assisted by the local Caritas.

SICILY: DONATION TO THE MISSION “SPERANZA E CARITA'”

On Saturday 8th H.E. Msgr. Michele Pennisi, Archbishop of Monreale and Prior for Sicily, accompanied by the Vice Delegate and some Knights of the delegation, delivered 2000 kg of pasta to the Mission “Speranza e Carità”. It was sent by the Grand Master, HRH Prince Charles of Bourbon Two Sicilies, who was particularly impressed by the activities of the mission when he visited it last April and decided to get personally involved in donating both food and mattresses.

SICILY: BRICIOLE DI SALUTE IN S. MARTINO DELLE SCALE

On September 7th, the Vice Delegate delivered some products to Father Bernardo, head of the Caritas of the Benedictine Abbey of S. Martino delle Scale (PA). Father Bernardo had requested those products to the Grand Prefect, HRH Princess Beatrice of Bourbon Two Sicilies, who told the Vice Delegate to meet the needs of the Benedictine Caritas and to deliver the products.

September 3rd, 2018 – Mr. Maurizio Mirandola, Secretary of the Brescian Representation, in collaboration with Mr. Daniele Gavezzoli and Mr. Giuseppe Scolaro, delivered foodstuffs (mainly pasta) that will cover the needs of thirty needy and elderly families assisted by the diocesan Caritas (section Cellatica).
