Aversa, January 29th, 2019 – On the anniversary of her death, Blessed Maria Cristina, Queen of the Two Sicilies, was remembered with a Mass at the Cathedral of Aversa presided over by H.E. Msgr. Angelo Spinillo, Bishop of the city. At the end of the celebration, organized by the local offices of the Maria Cristina di Savoia Cultural Conferences, an image of the Sovereign was blessed, embellished by an altarpiece created and donated by the Neapolitan Art Master Mario Compostella, official supplier of the Royal House of Bourbon Two Sicilies. Many Knights and Dames of the delegation also attended.

On January 18th 2019, the Knights and Ladies of the Guardia d’Onore celebrated with a mass the figure of King Charles of Bourbon, the first King of the Bourbon dynasty. The liturgy took place at the Basilica of Saint Clare (Basilica di Santa Chiara). In the homily, the parish priest of the Basilica exalted the Christian figure of King Charles and his innumerable charitable works, which were carried out thanks to his deep Christian faith. The association “Primo Reggimento Re”, composed of many volunteer experts of military ceremonies, also participated in the eucharistic event.

Rome, November 5th 2018 – TRH Prince Charles and Princess Camilla of Bourbon Two Sicilies’ official visit to Naples has ended today. Their Royal Highnesses, Duke and Duchess of Castro, accompanied by TRH Princesses Maria Carolina, Duchess of Calabria and Palermo and Maria Chiara, Duchess of Noto and Capri, were in Naples to celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary and 25 years of activity of the Neo-Bourbon Movement, engaged by a quarter of the century to defend the identity values of Southern Italy.
We have chosen to celebrate our anniversary in Naples with so many events also aimed at reviving the glorious memory of one of the largest cities in Europe, thanks to the works created by my ancestors” declared HRH the Duke of Castro. “We came back to this city that we always have in our hearts and that we feel our home because of its splendor, as for the beauty of the people who live it and animate it with pride“. The agenda was full of institutional and social commitments that confirm the Royal Family’s attention towards the Neapolitan territory. On November 3rd, the Royal Family went to the Mediterranean Theater, where the Award “TWO SICILIES – SOUTH EXCELLENCES” took place.

On Sunday morning Their Royal Highnesses went to the Cardarelli Hospital for the opening of “Insieme a mamma e papà” space, which will be used for welcoming not only the patients’ children, but also those of the hospital staff. After attending the inauguration of the nativity scene of the church of San Ferdinando, they attended the evening Mass at the church of San Francesco di Paola, where they met the delegates of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint Georges.

On Monday morning TRH visited the historic Marinella atelier, official supplier of the Royal House, which offered a unique scarf to the Dukes of Castro. Later they went to the Royal Palace of Caserta to seal their union and planted a Camelia honoring the family tradition: in 1818, in fact, Queen Maria Carolina of Bourbon paid homage to the Dukes of Castro’s twentieth anniversary of marriage with the same gesture.

Rome, October 19th 2018 – On the occasion of their twentieth wedding anniversary, TRH Prince Charles and Camilla of Bourbon Two Sicilies, Duke and Duchess of Castro, accompanied by the TRH Princesses Maria Carolina, Duchess of Calabria and Palermo and Maria Chiara, Duchess of Capri and of Noto, will be visiting Naples from November 3rd to November 5th.

The first official appointment is scheduled for Saturday November 3rd at the Teatro Mediterraneo, Mostra d’Oltremare in Naples. TRH will attend a folkloristic cultural show of Neapolitan style entitled “25 YEARS OF THE NEOBORBONICAL MOVEMENT AND TWO SICILIES AWARD ” where the greatest exponents of the Italian Contemporary Theater will attend. At the end of the show, the Dukes of Castro will celebrate their anniversary together with all the guests.

On Sunday, November 4th Their Royal Highnesses will be at the Cardarelli Hospital on the occasion of the inauguration of a space dedicated to welcoming not only the children of the patients, but also those of the hospital staff. The Hospital aims at providing concrete support to its employees so as to facilitate a better balance between work and family life.

During the afternoon, the Dukes of Castro will be visiting the Basilica of San Ferdinando for the inauguration of the nativity scene dedicated to famous men including the statuette of H.M. King Francis II of Bourbon Two Sicilies and afterwards will attend a solemn Mass at the Pontifical Basilica of San Francesco da Paola, organized by the neapolitan delegation of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St. George.

Their trip to Naples will end on Monday 5th. After the visit to the historic atelier Marinella, official supplier of the Real House, which on the occasion of their twentieth anniversary will pay homage to the Dukes of Castro of a tie and a scarf made exclusively for celebrating their union, Their Royal Highnesses will also go to the Royal Palace of Caserta where a camelia will be planted in their honor.
