EMILIA ROMAGNA: RECENT DONATIONS

Ferrara, Wednesday April 3th, 2024. During the celebration of the Holy Easter, a donation was made in favour of the voluntary association “Servizio Accoglienza alla Vita” – SAV of Ferrara, that assists and helps mothers and families in a difficult situation. The volunteer Walter Chessa, Knight Davide Zamboni, and Knight Antonio Ombra, in coordination with the Reprensentative Knight of Ecclesiastical Grace Father Davide Benini, have donated what they collected in previous weeks: toys, diapers, clothes and childhood products, pasta, canned vegetables, bakery products, milk, sweets, and Easter eggs. We thank the SAV volunteers, who were present at the donation, for the warm welcome and their commitment with those in need.

In occasion of the Holy Easter, the Knights and Dames living in Piacenza met at the centre “Il Samaritano” located in via Giordani, to donate more than one hundred bags (with the logo of the Order), that contained food products for families in a difficult situation. The Vice Delegate Knight Pietro Coppelli intervened, saying that the activity of handing out the bags will be carried out by Caritas, which for many years has made food support a fundamental element of sustain aimed at people and families in difficulty. The Director of the Caritas Diocesana of Piacenza – Boddio, Deacon Mario Idda, together with Doctor Franco Zuccone, Caritas counselor, thanked the Dames and the Knights of Piacenza for their solidarity, that is really appreciated. The Vice Prior of the Order, Reverend Father Stefano Antonelli blessed the bags and said a few prayers together with the Fellow Bothers that attended. The Vice Delegate Knight Pietro Coppelli thanked the Knights, who prepared the bags the night before, and brought the greetings and the wishes of a happy Holy Easter from the Emilia-Romagna Delegate Count Gian Luca Mattioli Belmonte Cima.

Ferrara, Sunday 3 December 2023. As every year waiting for Christmas, the Knights Davide Zamboni and Antonio Ombra and the Volunteer Chessa Walter, coordinating with Representative Knight of Eccl. Gr. Davide Benini, delivered groceries, veterinary products and cleaning items to the Refuge of the National League for the Defense of the Dog of Ferrara. The association of social promotion has been involved for decades, through its volunteers, in the defense and assistance of dogs that are welcomed in shelters to encourage adoption. The President of Ferrara of the association, Lawyer Francesca Guglielmini, together with volunteers and volunteers of the shelter, who thanks us for the warm welcome to our Order, as on previous occasions, and for their tireless work towards the dogs they assist.

Davide Benini, have delivered what they collected, together with the Knight Antonio Ombra, in anticipation of the upcoming holidays: toys, accessories for children, fresh fruit, pandori, panettone and Christmas cakes, baby food, milk and sugar. The SAV volunteers were also present at the handover.

Piacenza, 14 of September – On the occasion of the feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, the Piacenza Delegation celebrated the entry of new Knights into the Order. The solemn investiture took place within the walls of the impressive royal oratory of Saint Dalmazio. The Brotherhood of the Holy Spirit, guardian of the oratory for centuries, welcomed the Knights of Piacenza and many other Knights from the cities of Emilia to participate in the important event. At the end of the Holy Mass, presided by H.E. Monsignor Gianni Ambrosio, Bishop Emeritus of Piacenza and Prior of the Constantinian Order, and concelebrated by Father Stefano Antonelli, Vice Prior, and Father Marcello Mantellini, of the Diocese of Reggio Emilia, The new Knights were awarded diplomas of appointment, promotion and merit. The Knights who joined the Constantinian Order are: Colonel Fabio Frattolillo, Commander of the II Pontieri Regiment, Mr Cristiano Guidotti, freelance, Mr Giuseppe Borea, freelance, Mr Gabriele Secchi, entrepreneur. Sebastiano Zappalà and Angelo Massari, Military Academy of Modena, were promoted to the upper grade. They were accompanied for the occasion by the Representative of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Knight of the Grand Cross Doctor Ilario Pagani. The delegation wanted to reward a young Piacenza student, Alessandro Sonlieti, who has been collaborating for years with the representation of Piacenza, delivering a bronze medal of merit. The ceremony ended with the interventions of the Delegate for Emilia-Romagna the Knight Officer of Justice Count Gian Luca Mattioli Belmonte Cima and the Vice Delegate Knight Dr. Pietro Coppelli, who summarized the main activities carried out by the group in favor of the local community.

Ferrara, Monday September 11 – A donation was made to the volunteer association “Servizio Accoglienza alla Vita” – SAV of Ferrara, which works to assist and help mothers and families in difficulty. The volunteers Matteo Zaganelli and Walter Chessa, coordinating with Knight Davide Zamboni and Knight Representative of Ecclesiastical Grace Father Davide Benini, have delivered what was collected during the summer break, a large amount of toys and other accessories for children. With this activity resumes the pastoral and charitable year for Knights and volunteers of the Representation of Ferrara.

Piacenza, on Saturday 30 September, at the end of the celebration of the rite of beatification of Father Giuseppe Beotti, H.E. Cardinal Marcello Semeraro, Grand Prior of the Constantinian Order, received the representation of Piacenza. The meeting was held at the episcopal chapel in the complex of the Episcope of Piacenza. For the Dames and Knights of Piacenza, led by the Prior of the Delegation Emilia Romagna Monsignor Gianni Ambrosio, the Vice Prior Father Stefano Antonelli and the Vice Delegate Knight Pietro Coppelli, it was an important moment of discussion and sharing on some issues. The meeting with Cardinal Semeraro allowed the Vice Delegate Knight Coppelli to briefly illustrate the main activities carried out, mainly inspired to support, with concrete works of charity, the community of Piacenza. The Grand Prior, thanking those present for their commitment and affection for the Constantinian Order, concluded the meeting with his blessing.

EMILIA ROMAGNA: DONATION IN FAVOUR OF THE CARITAS OF CESENA-SARSINA

The Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George, in agreement with the Delegation of Emilia-Romagna, made a donation to the Diocesan Caritas of Cesena-Sarsina, which used the funds to help the population affected by the recent flood.
In fact, there have been many requests for help from many families who have lost everything. This contribution testifies to the closeness of the Diocese of Cesena – Sarsina and the Constantinian Order to the many people affected by this tragedy.
The Director of the Diocesan Caritas, Deacon Ivan Bartoletti Stella, also on behalf of Bishop H.E. Monsignor Douglas Regattieri, thanked the Constantinian Order and H.R.H. Prince Charles of Bourbon of the Two Sicilies, Grand Master and Head of the Royal House for this concrete gesture of solidarity.

On tuesday, July 11, at the ancient hospital library Sala Colonne, the ceremony of delivery of coats- over eighty – donated by the representation of Piacenza to volunteers of the Avo – association hospital volunteers was held. In front of a large audience, the President of the avo Anna Boccellari described the activities of the association, aimed mainly at the service of hospitalized patients and guests in nursing homes. Anna Boccellari continued by stressing that the donation of white coats, which the volunteers will wear in hospital during their service, is a very important gesture on the part of the Order, represented for the occasion by the Vice Delegate of Emilia Romagna, Knight Pietro Coppelli, who in this way has concretely realized the much desired collaboration between voluntary associations. The Vice Delegate expressed words of praise towards the volunteers of Avo, and satisfaction for the donation that the Knights and Dames of Piacenza wanted to make. The Vice Prior Don Stefano Antonelli blessed the coats, which bear both the logos of the Association and the Constantinian Order.

A donation was made to the Association of volunteers “Servizio Accoglienza alla Vita” – SAV of Ferrara, which works for assistance and help to mothers and families in difficulty. Knight Davide Zamboni, coordinated with Knight Representative of Ecclesiastical Grace Don Davide Benini, accompanied the volunteer Matteo Zaganelli who collected, together with his family, an important amount of food, clothing, shoes, toys, books and stationery for children.

Ferrara, Sunday, June 11, 2023. As part of the charitable activities of the Representation, the Knights Davide Zamboni and Antonio Ombra, thanks to the commitment of the Volunteers Chessa Walter and Emanuele, coordinating with the Representative Knight of Ecclesiastical Grace Don Davide Benini, have delivered accessories and groceries – for a quantity of more than 200 kg – to the “Refuge of the National League for the Defense of the Dog” of Ferrara. This association deals, through its volunteers, with the defense and assistance of dogs that are welcomed in the shelter to encourage adoption. The delivery was attended by the President, Mr. Francesca Guglielmini, together with some volunteers.
