MOLISE: FOIL TOURNAMENT IN PESCOLANCIANO

The tournament of sword and foil was held at the ducal castle of Alessandro in Pescolanciano (IS), which saw, in addition to the patronage of CONI and the Municipality of Pescolanciano, also that of the Constantinian Order. On the occasion of the three hundred years since the publication of the equestrian and sword treatise of Duke Giuseppe d’Alessandro, the Delegate Duke Ettore d’Alessandro, with his family members, supported the sporting initiative, ensuring the presence of a group of Molise Knights in mantle when the young fencers received the sacred blessing from the local parish priest, Father Francesco Corazzari, in the chapel of the manor. Father Francesco, assisted by Prof. Giulio de Jorio, informed the numerous public present about the reorganized SMOC Delegation for Molise, giving another blessing. At the end of the tournament the young winners among the many schools of fencing participants were awarded in the presence of the master Filippo Romagnoli (coach of the national foil) and master Mimmo Di Paola.
The combination of spirituality, sport and chivalrous traditions was well received by those present at the event and by the local press and television.

NAPLES AND CAMPANIA: MIRACLE OF SAINT GENNARO AT THE CATHEDRAL OF NAPLES

The Campania Delegation participated in the miracle of San Gennaro, as every year. Knight Gianfranco Wurzburger, former head of the ceremonial of the Neapolitan Curia, the councillor of the Delegation NH Giulio del Vaglio and his wife Paola, Knight Dr. G. Angelo Marciano, Dr. Luigi de Angelis, Dr. Nunzia Sannino, architect Antonello Amaddeo, Dr. Ugo Botti and Dr. Carlo Ventre took part in the event.

SICILY: THE DELEGATION ACTIVITIES CONTINUE

On 24 September 2023, in Ficuzza, H.E. Mons. Gualtiero Isacchi, Archbishop of Monreale, presided over the Eucharistic Celebration in the parish church of Santa Rosalia. The parish priest of Santa Rosalia, Reverend Father Calogero Latino, welcomed the Archbishop of Monreale.
The Sicily Delegation was represented by Knight Giulio Pillitteri, who, at the end of the celebration, brought to H.E. Mons. Gualtiero Isacchi greetings from the Vice Delegate Noble Knight of Grand Cross of Grace Antonio di Janni and all the Delegation, thanking him for his constant support for the Order’s activities.

The effective collaboration between the Municipal Administration, the Archdiocese of Monreale and the Delegation of Sicily is witnessed by the presence of volunteers of the Order that ensure the opening of the Church of the Agonizzanti during the days of the event “In the Sign of Guglielmo 2023”. In fact, the initiative was presented on Friday, September 22 in the church of Maria SS. degli Agonizzanti by Mayor Eng. Alberto Arcidiacono, by the President of the City Council Marco Intravaia, by the assessors Dr. Fabrizio Lo Verso and Lawyer Letizia Sardisco, who illustrated the program of events. The church will remain open for the duration of the event in order to allow all visitors to admire an exhibition of vintage clothes and a reproduction of the mantle of Guglielmo, founder of the municipality.

AMERICAN DELEGATION REPRESENTED AT THE DEDICATION OF A NEW SHRINE OF BL. CARLO ACUTIS

On Sunday, October 1, 2023 (Rosary Sunday, commemorating the Co-Patroness of the Constantinian Order) several Knights represented the Delegation which was honored to be invited to assist at such an auspicious occasion, the Dedication of the new Diocesan Shrine of Blessed Carlo Acutis in Brick, New Jersey, in the presence of the Blessed’s own mother.

The Principal Celebrant was His Excellency, Bishop David O’Connell, C.M., Ecclesiastical Knight Grand Cross of Grace of the Order.

Following the Mass those present were able to greet Blessed Carlo’s mother Antonia, who carried the relic of her son to the shrine chapel following the Mass.

PIEDMONT AND AOSTA VALLEY: EXALTATION OF THE HOLY CROSS IN CASALNOCETO

On sunday, September 24, a group of Knight of Alexandria, led by Dame Simona Delfino, celebrated the Holy Mass on the feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in the Church of the Brotherhood of “San Rocco” in Casalnoceto (AL). The Vice Prior Father Augusto Piccoli presided over the solemn liturgy, assisted by his recently appointed confrere Father Gianpaolo Civillini and with the participation of numerous Knights and Dames of the representation. After the welcome greetings of the Mayor, Prof. Giuseppe Cetta and the Parish Priest Father Fulvio Sironi, were given by the representative the diplomas to the new Knights and promotions to those who, for various reasons, could not attend the investiture ceremony. At the end of the rite, after admiring the beauty of the oratory of 1535, the Knights and Dames gathered for a convivial moment of good wishes and fraternity.
