BRESCIA – 1 JANUARY 2017 – THE MENNI DIOCESESAN SOUP KITCHEN

img_3241The goal of the Constantinian Order is defense of the Most Holy Cross through works of Charity. To this end the Brescia Delegation signed a new protocol of cooperation with the Diocesan Caritas, in association with the Bishop of Brescia, Mons. Luciano Monari and with the Director Deacon Giorgio Cotelli.
This initiative is a response to the recommendations of His Eminence Cardinal Martino, Grand Prior, who has often spoken of the importance and the need to enter into cooperation agreements with diocesan charity associations.
For Christmas, in cooperation with the Director of Caritas, the Lombardy Delegation prepared and served a meal to approximately 300 guests on the first day of the New Year 2017 in the Madre Eugenia Menni Diocesan Soup Kitchen: Knights and Dames of the Delegation assisted the Caritas operators in preparing the tables, welcoming guests and serving meals.
The Brescia Delegation is very active throughout the territory and cooperates with many organisations, including:
• the Dormitory of San Vincenzo
• the TSV Volunteer Association providing X-rays at home
• the Diocesan Caritas
• the Caritas of the Brescia East zone
