On Sunday February 26 the investiture ceremony of the delegation Emilia-Romagna was held at the church of Saint George in Modena, in the presence of the Secretary General of the Order, Dr. Giampaolo Grazian.
The Vice Delegate of Emilia-Romagna, Dr. Pietro Coppelli, assisted by the Representative of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Dr. Ilario Pagani, awarded the diplomas of appointment to:
Colonel Ciro Forte, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of the Military Academy of Modena, Colonel Luigi Regni, Officer of the corps of the Carabinieri, Lieutenant Colonello Alessandro Dimichino, Officer of the corps of the Carabinieri, Lieutenant Paolo Lafiosca, Officer of the Italian Army.
The Holy Mass, presided by the Vice Prior of the Delegation Emilia-Romagna Father Stefano Antonelli assisted by Father Marco Falcone, military Chaplain of the Academy of Modena, was held in the beautiful seventeenth-century church of Saint George. The message from Erio Castellucci, Archbishop of Modena-Nonantola, addressed to all Knights and Dames has been read.
The Secretary General Dr. Grazian, in his speech, brought the greetings of H.R.H. Prince Charles of Bourbon Two Sicilies and Grand Master, pointing out the figure of the deceased Delegate Esq. Corrado Sforza Fogliani, who has done much over the years for the activity of the Order. His role is now carried out by Dr. Pietro Coppelli.
There were numerous Knights of Modena, and even from other cities, in particular from Piacenza, arrived in Modena for the occasion, as well as the Representatives of the Order, Count Giacomo Cavina Boari from Bologna, and Professor Massimo Franchi from Parma.
The ceremony in the church of Saint George was particularly appreciated by the public, even thanks to the presence of a big group of Cadets from the Military Academy of Modena. They welcomed the guests, assisted the celebrant in the liturgical function and accompanied the Holy Mass with songs and music.
Numerous distinguished guests, civil and military authorities were present, in particular the Major General Davide Scalabrin, Commander of the Military Academy of Modena and Knight of the Order, who kindly invited all participants to a guided tour at the Historical Museum of the Academy.
The Vice Delegate Dr. Pietro Coppelli, after the tour, handed over the crest of the Constantinian Order to General Scalabrin, thanking him for the hospitality.
At the end of the meeting followed a pleasant toast in the State Halls of the Military Academy.
CALABRIA: INITIATIVES OF THE MONTH OF MARCH
Saturday 4th March 2023, a group of Knights of the delegation Calabria participated in the sacred rite of the Way of the Cross, in Vibo Valentia at the Church Del Rosario, ruled by the Knight of Ecclesiastical Grace, Father Filippo Ramondino. The attendance to the ceremony was deeply felt by the community of Vibo Valentia, which gathered in the Church Del Rosario to pray and meditate on the passion of Christ alongside Knights and Dames of the Constantinian Order of Saint George. A donation was made to the parish community after the religious ceremony.
A religious ceremony was held on 5 March at the church of the Saints Michele and Nicola in Dasà, officiated by the parish priest Father Bernardino Comerci. The liturgy was held in the presence of Dr. Aurelio Badolati, Vice Delegate and of Knights and meritorious, invited by the Major Dr. Raffaele Scaturchio. The homily highlighted the themes of Lent. A donation was made at the end of the ceremony by the delegation for the poorest people of the parish.
SICILY: ACTIVITIES OF FEBRUARY AND MARCH
Our Order began its Lenten journey, together with the monks and the parish community of San Martino delle Scale, with the Eucharistic celebration of Holy Ashes, presided over by the Abbot Father Vittorio Rizzone. A group of Knights and Dames of the delegation of Sicily attended the ceremony, the Noble Vice Delegate Antonio di Janni, the Noble Knight Manlio Corselli, Mr. Vincenzo Nuccio, Knight Claudio Ragusa, Knights Giulio Pillitteri, Maurizio Di Stefano and the Dames Carmela Munda and Patrizia Biagi.
On Saturday 25th February, a concert was held for piano, violins and guitar for the XVII concert season of the delegation of Sicily at the hall S. Cecilia in the Cathedral of the Mansion. The artistic Director is Master Alberto Giacchino. Tracks by Grieg, Carulli and Beethoven were masterfully interpreted by the students of the music conservatory of Palermo. Once finished, the young artists were given the acknowledgement diplomas of the delegation Sicily by the Vice Delegate.
On Wednesday 8th February, the usual donation of childcare facilities for children from zero to three years of needy families was held in the rooms adjacent to the Church Maria SS degli Agonizzanti in Monreale. The Vice Delegate and the volunteers Sonia Lo Monaco and Marco Solaro have distributed principals and clothing for the children of the family Briciole di Salute.
Usa: Investiture in Palm Beach
The American Delegation of the Dynastic Orders of the Royal House of Bourbon-Two Sicilies celebrated the investiture of new Knights and Dames of both the Constantinian Order and the Royal Order of Francis I on February 16. The Constantinian Investiture Ceremony and Votive Mass of the Holy Cross took place at St. Edward Church in Palm Beach, presided by the Delegation’s First Subprior, His Excellency Bishop Arthur Serratelli. The celebration saw eight men and women enter the Order, including a Dame of Justice, an Ecclesiastical Knight of Grace and a Knight Officer of Merit, the former Ambassador of the United States to the Holy See. In the late afternoon, at the Cars of Dreams Museum, an Investiture Ceremony for eight Knights and Dames of the Royal Order of Francis I took place, including a Dame Officer, the former Ambassador of the United States to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. Following the Investiture, 150 people enjoyed the black-tie Gala which raised funds for relief efforts for the previous year’s Hurricane Ian which had affected countless people.
