ABRUZZO: HOLY MASS FOR THE IMMACULATE

Friday, December 8th 2023, Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the B.V.M., Augusta Patroness of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies, the H. Mass of the Delegation of Abruzzo was celebrated at the Church of St. Anthony of Padua of Knights of Nardis in L’ Aquila.
The Delegate Francesco Saverio dei Baroni de Nardis, Patrizio di Aquila, and Vice Prior Bruno Lima were present. At the end of the celebration, the Knights and the Dames gathered took part in a reception for the exchange of Christmas greetings.

EMILIA ROMAGNA: ACTIVITIES IN FERRARA

Ferrara, Sunday 3 December 2023. As every year waiting for Christmas, the Knights Davide Zamboni and Antonio Ombra and the Volunteer Chessa Walter, coordinating with Representative Knight of Eccl. Gr. Davide Benini, delivered groceries, veterinary products and cleaning items to the Refuge of the National League for the Defense of the Dog of Ferrara. The association of social promotion has been involved for decades, through its volunteers, in the defense and assistance of dogs that are welcomed in shelters to encourage adoption. The President of Ferrara of the association, Lawyer Francesca Guglielmini, together with volunteers and volunteers of the shelter, who thanks us for the warm welcome to our Order, as on previous occasions, and for their tireless work towards the dogs they assist.

Ferrara, Saturday 9 December 2023. In anticipation of Christmas, a donation was made by the Emilia Romagna Delegation to the volunteer association “Servizio Accoglienza alla Vita” – SAV of Ferrara, who work for the assistance of mothers and families in difficulty. The volunteers Matteo Zaganelli and Walter Chessa together with Knight Davide Zamboni, coordinating with the Representative Knight of Eccl. Gr. Davide Benini, have delivered what they collected, together with the Knight Antonio Ombra, in anticipation of the upcoming holidays: toys, accessories for children, fresh fruit, pandori, panettone and Christmas cakes, baby food, milk and sugar. The SAV volunteers were also present at the handover.

MOLISE: DONATION

On thursday, December 7, the Delegation of Molise, represented by its Secretary Commander Giuseppe D’Amico and Knight Off. Francesco Lupo, along with other postulants, provided for the delivery of a significant donation of sports clothing and shoes to the “Community of welcome of San Giorgio” of Chiauci and Pescolanciano. The charitable prefestive operation has collected the most heartfelt thanks from the coordinator of the aforesaid structures, Ms Antonietta Bani, with the Dr. Angela Berardinelli and Mariana Ciavarro and the Dr. Roberto Rosas, in charge of the structures, to whom came the fraternal greetings of the Delegate, Duke Ettore d’Alessandro di Pescolanciano, very close to these territorial realities of social assistance. The group of Constantinian confreres who participated in the initiative was welcomed with a joyful spirit by the guests of the communities, who expressed evident gratitude with smiles and repeated thanks. On 12 December, a further delivery of various clothing and sports shoes to Francesco Fagnano, well-known athletic trainer for years engaged in the sports and social world, in order to send this goods to less well-off people. The Constantinian team will continue to operate with other donations on Molise territory in these weeks before Christmas.

BELGIUM: RELIGIOUS CEREMONY

The Belgian delegation met on the feast of Christ the King at the Church of Saint Jacques-sur-Coudenberg.
The Pontifical Mass was celebrated in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Lorenzo of Belgium, Bailiff of the Order’s Grand Cross.
His Most Reverend Excellency Monsignor Noël Treanor, Archbishop-Bishop Emeritus of Down & Conner, Apostolic Nuncio to the European Union, celebrated, while Monsignor Willen van der Valk, Representative of our Order in the Netherlands, Monsignor Jean – Baptiste Itaruma, Councillor of the Apostolic Nunciature to the European Union, Reverend Pleban Robrecht Boone, representative of the Holy See to the International Committee of Military Medicine and Reverend Abbate Ivo Celis concelebrated.
His Serene Highness Prince Charles-Louis d’Arenberg, Knight Grand Cross of Justice, and Delegate of the Kingdom of Belgium, assisted by the Consul General Gunnar Riebs, Knight Grand Cross of Merit, Deputy Delegate of the Kingdom of Belgium, welcomed all the distinguished guests.
After the religious ceremony the Knights of the Order and other guests took part in a formal lunch at the “Cercle Royal Gaulois”.

NAPLES AND CAMPANIA: PRE-HOLIDAY MASS FOR THE IMMACULATE

On December 7th 2023, the Delegation of Naples and Campania, on the occasion of the Feast and Sacredness of the Most Holy Mary Immaculate, took part in the solemn pre-holiday Mass in honor of Our Lady Mary Immaculate at the Church of Don Orione, located in Ercolano (Naples) by invitation of Don Orione and prior authorization of the Delegate Donna Federica Cattaneo De Gregorio.
Dame Nunzia Sannino, Knight Luigi De Angelis, Knight Alessandro Caramiello, Knight Antonello Amaddeo and Knight Davide Di Blasi attended. The Mass was celebrated by Father Rosario Belli, general director of Don Orione. The guests of the structure, the theater manager Doctor Ciro Cozzolino and many faithful were present.
For the occasion, Dame Sannino and the Knights present, donated to the Don Orione Institute a large supply of sanitary equipment (360 diapers) and an equally conspicuous supply of stationery products such as crayons in wax, to finger, watercolors, markers, brushes, cards, glue, sharpeners, notebooks and various. The donated material will be used for the 15 children with disabilities who are guests of the institute located in Ercolano and for the upcoming Christmas chores that the same children are preparing to realize. The entire supply was delivered directly to Father Rosario Belli in the presence of the guests.
