PIEDMONT AND VALLE D’AOSTA: DECEMBER ACTIVITIES

On Monday 18th December a group of Knights of Alessandria, led by Mrs. Simona Delfino in collaboration with Vice Prior Father Augusto Piccoli, has made a donation of healthcare products in favor of the religious congregation “Gesù Educatore” for african families lacking hospital care in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The initiative was proposed by Friar Priest Mr. Gianpaolo Civillini with the help of Sister Chantal, and supported by Knight Giuseppe Paolo Lazzaro, President of the company “Federfamiglia” of Melzo, by Knight Roberto Epifano, Mrs. Cristina Carta, representative Mrs. Simona Delfino and Mrs. Matilde Zacchia, owner of the homonimous pharmacy of Valenza, who worked to provide those products.

The Piedmont and Valle d’Aosta Christmas event was held in Turin and was celebrated in the Sanctuary of St. Anthony of Padua by Vice Prior of the Delegation, Father Augusto Piccoli. Many civil and militar authorities attended the event.

The celebration continued at Comando Militare Esercito Piemonte for a dinner with the traditional exchange of Christmas gifts.

The Delegation of Naples and Campania, represented by the Delegate Donna Federica Cattaneo De Gregorio, participated in the solemn Mass in memorial of King Francis II of Bourbon for his 129° passing Anniversary at the Church of Holy Mary of Victory in Naples.
The celebration, sponsored by the Royal House, was organized by the Foundation Il Giglio and the Neo-Bourbon movement.
Many Knights and Dames attended the ceremony, along with the Reggimento Re Association.

EUCHARISTIC CELEBRATION IN SAN SALVATORE IN LAURO

In the afternoon of 14 December, a Solemn Mass was held in memory of the Blessed Virgin of Loreto de’ Marchigiani at the Parish of San Salvatore in Lauro in Rome. The celebration was presided over by His Most Reverend Excellency Mgr. Rino Fisichella, Pro-Prefect of the Dicastery for Evangelization.

A large group of Knights and Dames of the Rome and Lazio Delegation, as well as the Marche and Umbria delegation, participated. The parish priest of San Salvatore in Lauro, Mons. Pietro Bongiovanni was present.

ROME AND LAZIO: CEREMONIES OF 25 – 26 NOVEMBER

On 25 and 26 November, the Rome and Lazio Delegation organized an intense weekend full of ceremonies with the participation of the Delegate Marquis Giuseppe Ferrajoli di Filacciano. It was the first official event with the participation of the new Vice Delegate for the Provinces of Lazio, the Noble Prof. Lawyer Franco Ciufo. On Saturday 26 there was a conference followed by the Grand Gala in the halls of the Grande Albergo Miramare in Formia and on Sunday the solemn Mass was celebrated in the Cathedral of San Pietro in Minturno. There were over one hundred present at the demonstrations, with the intervention of civil and military authorities. The Minister of Defense, Hon. Guido Crosetto, our Confrere, unable to be present personally for the well-known moment of international crisis, wished to greet the Delegates and the Confreres gathered and to offer his best wishes for the oncoming Christmas holidays and the end of the year. The message, very touching and appreciated, was read during the ceremony.

Calabria: Activities with the Red Cross and donation on the occasion of the Immaculate Conception

On 13 December, the Calabria Delegation intended to assist the efforts made by the Italian Red Cross – Committee Riviera dei Gelsomini of Siderno, chaired by Dr Concetta Gioffrè, in managing the emergency situation relating to the influx of migrants, donating toys, clothing, confectionery, food and necessities. The donation took place also thanks to the help of the Military Corps of the Red Cross of Reggio Calabria, in the person of Cap. Marcello G. Novello. The President of the Italian Red Cross – Comitato Riviera dei Gelsomini di Siderno Dr. Gioffrè, enthusiastically welcomed the Dames and Knights, headed by the Vice Delegate Grand Off. Aurelio Badolati. During the meeting, Dr. Gioffrè explained the activities of the committee and in particular focused on the measures taken by the Red Cross both for migrants and for the increasingly needy in the area of Locra. She also recounted some episodes that saw volunteers, operate during the landings, emphasizing that migrants who land in Roccella Ionica are in need of everything, in particular children to whom no assistance is given during the journey. The President, in thanking the Calabria Delegation, added that for smaller migrants new toys and clothes, together with donated sweets, will be particularly appreciated. The Vice Delegate Aurelio Badolati said that in the near future, the delegation will renew other donations and help the volunteers of the Red Cross also in the reception of migrants.

On the occasion of the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, the delegation made a concrete gesture of solidarity by donating 30 hot meals to the neediest.
