H.R.H. THE GRAND PREFECT IN GAETA

On February 15th, the delegation of Naples and Campania participated in Gaeta in the edition of the “Don Paolo Capobianco” prize, awarded to people who have distinguished themselves for their humanitarian gestures and culture. The Grand Prefect, HRH Princess Beatrice of Bourbon Two Sicilies was rewarded for her immense commitment to charitable activities. Even dr. Luigi di Fiore, journalist and writer, was rewarded for his cultural commitment. The delegation warmly thanks the mayor of Gaeta and especially Mr. Salvatore Lanza, Mr. Gennaro De Crescenzo and Dr. Iadicicco, who were the main organizers of the event. The delegate of Naples and Campania and the adviser to the delegation Giuliano Buccino Grimaldi were also present.

ACTIVITIES IN SICILY

On February 6th, H.R.H. Princess Beatrice of Bourbon Two Sicilies, Grand Prefect, accompanied by the representative of the Diocese of Noto, was received by H.E. Monsignor Antonio Staglianò, bishop of Noto. The Princess illustrated other charitable projects which will be implemented by the Constantinian Order in Noto. Immediately after, they reached the canteen of S. Corrado where they delivered foodstuffs donated by the delegation to the community Little Brothers and Little Sisters of Jesus and Mary. The canteen of S. Corrado welcomes around thirty people in need every day for a hot lunch, prepared by the friars.

“A heart for Agata” is the charity event that Princess Beatrice of Bourbon Two Sicilies wanted to organize on February 4th in honour of Saint Agata. This year was the 1st edition and was held at the Massimo Vincenzo Bellini theater in Catania. The Princess delivered a defibrillator to the head of the theater.

On February 11th, the first distribution of products of the project Briciole di Salute took place in Monreale.

ACTIVITIES IN TUSCANY

Ponte Buggianese, February 13th, 2020 – The knights of the Tuscan delegation have delivered food products to the head of Caritas, Mr. Mirco Tognarelli, from the parish of San Michele Arcangelo. The donation is part of the “Briciole di salute” solidarity project.

ACTIVITIES IN COSENZA AND IN MONTEROSSO CALABRO

Cosenza, February 1st 2020 – Some Knights of the the delegation went to the Association “Casa Nostra”, which runs a reception center at the palace of the Archiepiscopal Curia of Cosenza. This important association offers daily services for the homeless and the needy people. So the Calabrian representation devoted this day to supporting the volunteers of Casa Nostra. Given the success of the activity, the delegation wishes to renew this solidarity initiative every first Saturday of the month.

ACTIVITIES IN LOMBARDY

Brescia, February 3rd, 2020 – Mr. Stefano Villotta and Mr. Romano Savi, in coordination with the Prior of Lombardy Mgr Arnaldo Morandi and with the Secretary of Representation of Brescia Maurizio Mirandola, in response to the request for support received from the director of the Pontifical University “Paolo VI” of Nave, delivered 22 additional quintals of wood.

Brescia, February 5th, 2020 – Mr. Stefano Villotta, in collaboration with the Prior of Lombardy Father Arnaldo Morandi, gave several clothes to the head of the civil protection group Leonessa. These clothes will be distributed to children belonging to families helped by the association.

The representation of Varese, in collaboration with the local Red Cross, launched a free screening campaign in Besano, in collaboration with the municipal administration.
