LOMBARDY: DONATIONS ON THE TERRITORY CONTINUE

On May 29th, the representative of Lecco Luigi Rogliano, in coordination with Vice Delegate Giuseppe Rizzani and Mgr Arnaldo Morandi, Prior of Lombardy, acquired from Leva SPA a supply of 10.000 medical masks in favour of the communities of Lecco, Como and Brescia.

Mr. Giuseppe A. Scolaro, in coordination with the Prior of Lombardy Mgr Arnaldo Morandi, the Vice Delegate Giuseppe Rizzani and the secretary of the representation of Brescia Maurizio Mirandola, delivered food in favour of ASST Franciacorta.

SICILY: THE ACTIVITIES OF THE PROJECT “BRICIOLE DI SALUTE” CONTINUE IN SANTA MARIA LA STELLA AND PATTI

On May 31st, after receiving the invitation by Father Emanuele Nicotra, parish priest of the church of Santa Maria La Stella, a representation of the Order participated in the Sunday Eucharistic Liturgy. After more than 17 months of closure due to the earthquake that struck the region in December 2018, the church, thanks to contributions from the municipality and the citizens, has reopened. Mr. Uccio Arena and Mr.Tony Zarrillo attended the celebration.

On June 3rd, Mr. Tony Zarrillo went to the Diocesan House of the Holy Family in Patti for the delivery of basic necessities which will be distributed to the needy people. In addition, he joined confreres Salvatore Mangione, Davide Gentile and Placido Salamone for another donation to the local Caritas centre; subsequently, they went to the curia to greet the local ecclesiastical authorities.

PIEDMONT: DONATION IN TURIN

On May 28th a huge donation of foodstuffs (about 30 quintals) took place at the Italian Army Application School in Turin, promoted by Lieutenant Maurizio Ravelli, assisted by the young officers of the school. The collection was managed by the civil protection and by the municipality of Turin. It is in favour of the municipality of Turin which will pack the parcels that will be given to needy families. The representation of Alexandria and Asti, headed by Mrs. Simona Delfino, actively contributed to the donation. Civil and military authorities attended.

TUSCANY: “BRICIOLE DI SALUTE” IN TORRE DEL LAGO PUCCINI

Torre del Lago Puccini, May 28th, 2020 – The Tuscan delegation, represented by the Vice Delegate Edoardo Puccetti, assisted by Mr. Riccardo Gambi and with the collaboration of Mr. Ivano Lucchesi, President of Civil Protection of Chiesina Uzzanese, have donated to the Caritas, in the presence of Ms Sabrina Fausto, a substantial quantity of pasta that will be distributed to needy families.

Cellatica, May 19th, 2020 – As part of the food collection promoted by the Prior of Lombardy in agreement and collaboration with the Vice Delegate, Mr. Daniele Gavezzoli delivered food packages to the Caritas parish of Cellatica. The basic necessities will be delivered to many families with the help of Red Cross volunteers of Cellatica and Gussago committee.

Pavia, May 19th, 2020 – As part of the food collection promoted by the Prior of Lombardy in agreement and collaboration with the Vice Delegate, Mr. Roberto Nardecchia donated various sweets to the canteen of the priests of Canepanova (PV).

Brescia, May 25th, 2020 – Archbishop Arnaldo Morandi, Prior of Lombardy, in agreement with the Vice Delegate Giuseppe Rizzani and Secretary Maurizio Mirandola, met Ms. Paola Moroni, president of the association “Note Per Il Mondo Onlus”, as well as partners Maria Teresa Cavalleri and Stefano Viani. The association organizes musical events aimed at raising funds for specific charitable projects.
